Being a Christian means being “in covenant” with God and each other. A covenant is a special bond—more than a simple contract. Throughout Biblical history, we read the constant theme of God’s covenant with his people. This is why we use the term “covenant” for our membership. At liberti we use the word "covenant" because it mirrors the language of promise and commitment that God speaks to his people throughout Scripture, and we seek to model that same "covenant" love in our relationships together as a community.
How to join liberti:
- Step 1- in-covenant retreat. Several times a year, we offer one-day retreats to introduce people at our church to the beliefs of Christian faith, and what it means to be a part of liberti church. Contact us to find out when the next in-covenant retreat is.
- Step 2- one-on-one connection with a church leader. Everyone who would like to join liberti will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one, or as a family, with a church leader, where you’ll be able to share your story, ask further questions, and consider how to get connected and involved in the life of the church.
- Step 3- covenant vows. For those who would like to join themselves to liberti church, the final step is to make public promises to God and his people in a worship service. If you are becoming a Christian, this will also be an opportunity to celebrate the story of God’s grace in your life, and be baptized.
